Hellscreen is a Retro FPS with a rearview mirror and a hyper-stylised Giger-inspired aesthetic.
Accidentally displaced from heaven, the player must blast their way through a digital hellscape, acquiring deadly weapons & finding enhanced abilities allowing them to discover new lands and defeat unspeakable evils.
They will utilize the rearview mirror to fight in new ways, see invisible dangers and discover hidden secrets.
Their ultimate goal; to destroy the “Hellscreen” machine (an ancient device left by deceased gods to determine who ascends to heaven and who falls to hell) and to restore balance to the natural order of the afterlife before all of reality is lost.
Hellscreen is being developed by Jamie Degen, a solo games developer from London. Having previously worked as an environment & VFX artist for over a decade, Hellscreen represents Jamie’s first attempt at a commercial independent video game release.
